Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to MODISA Teacher and SIZA Parents ("the Apps"), operated by BASHOMI DIGITAL SYSTEMS (PTY) LTD.

1. Information We Collect

• Account and login information (teacher codes, student codes, admin codes, role-linked identifiers).
• Contact information required for app access and communication (for example phone numbers and names).
• School operational data (attendance, assignments, homework, notices, meetings, timetable data).
• Technical data needed for app reliability and security (device/app metadata, diagnostics, App Check tokens).

2. How We Use Information

• To authenticate users and protect app access.
• To deliver education communication between school staff and parents.
• To display class/student data required for school operations.
• To improve app performance, reliability, and security.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data is processed within the MODISA-SIZA ecosystem and trusted service providers required for hosting, storage, messaging, analytics, and payment operations.

4. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure with role-based access controls, encrypted transport, and fraud-prevention controls. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards aligned with POPIA and standard security practice.

5. Children and School Data

The Apps are school-managed platforms. Student data is processed for legitimate educational administration and parent communication. Schools and guardians remain responsible for lawful data submission and accuracy.

6. Retention

We retain data only as long as needed for service delivery, legal compliance, and audit requirements.
